WHAT CAUSES STRETCH MARKS?
Stretch marks are formed when there is disruption in collagen production. This could happen when the skin is pulled by rapid growth or stretching such as during pregnancy, puberty or rapid weight loss. Initial signs may include thin and pink appearance. Overtime the skin around the most affected areas (tummy, bottoms, upper arms, thighs, breast) might turn red, purple, pink, reddish-brown or darkish brown depending on the skin colour, sometimes itchy with streak like strands.

Is rich in essential fatty acids; stearic, oleic, linoleic, palmitic and arachidic acid. Each of the constituents buttresses the reason why sheabutter is called powerhouse. Sheabutter extracted from trees that take 30-40 years to grow in Sub Sahara region of Africa. Oleic acids are known for their hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties. It penetrates the skin easily and deeply, replenishing lost moisture and prevents loss of moisture. Linoleic acid lowers trans-epidermal water loss and increases skin moisture. Both Oleic and Linoleic acid have a delivery and lock in moisture function. Sheabutter also contains Lupeol; which is anti-inflammatory. Cinnamic acid esters gives sheabutter its sun protection factor (spf) quality.
Coconut Oil
